Châteauneuf-du-Pape vs. Priorat, 5/20

Event Description

Châteauneuf-du-Pape’s fame and fortune rests upon the Grenache grape, but Grenache originally called Spain its home. Across the Pyrenees, Catalonia’s winegrowing region of Priorat might be Spain’s answer to the Southern Rhone, and here Grenache and its cohorts produce some of the most serious wines coming out of Spain today. Steep slopes, mountain vineyards, and sundrenched vines produce thrilling wines that for many are yet to be discovered.
